Hello everyone!
Welcome to Xherciser and this is NGF NOMI.
In this post, I'll share Homemade protein powder recipe.
Many people try to avoid supplements due to so many reasons.
So today I'll share with you that how you can make protein powder using natural ingredients at home.
But watch the post till the end because at the end of the post,
I'll discuss the comparison between homemade protein powder Vs whey protein.
Which one is better.
Let's start our post.
For making homemade protein powder, take 100 grams almonds in a pan and roast it
Similarly roast 100 grams walnuts.
After this, we'll roast 100 grams peanuts.
And now roast 100 grams of oats.
After that, roast 100 grams pumpkin seeds
And similarly 20 grams flaxseeds.
Take all these in a plate and add 20 grams chia seeds
And 50 grams milk powder.
Mix everything properly
and grind all of this
And with this, our homemade protein powder is ready.
For sweetness, we can add little bit of jaggery powder.
Around 500 grams protein powder will be ready with all these quantity of ingredients.
Now let me tell you it's nutritional value.
In 100 grams homemade protein powder, you'll get approximately 25 grams of protein,
And if you see it's calorie count, that is approximately 665-670.
I hope you understood and if didn't then let me clear it that
The people who are on their weight loss journey, I would not advice them to consume this protein powder
Because this protein powder is high in calories.
But those who are seeking for general fitness, weight gain or want to increase strength and stamina
They can consume this homemade protein powder.
And select the quantity according to your body weight and body type.
Now let's compare our homemade protein powder with whey protein.
In 1 serving of whey protein, you get approximately 25 gram of protein, 3 gram of carbohydrates and 0.5 gram of fat
And if you'll see the calory count, then it is 117 approximately.
Now if we want to fulfill same amount of protein with homemade protein powder,
then we have to take 100 grams of it.
I already told you about the nutritional values in 100 grams in which along with 25 grams of protein,
You'll get 31 grams of carbohydrates and 49 grams of fat
And total calories will be 670.
So after knowing all this, write in the comment section that which one is better.
But my personal vote goes to whey protein because in per serving of whey protein,
You get less number of calories and that too with high quality of protein which is easily digestible.
I saw many post in which people claimed that homemade protein powder is cheaper than whey protein
So let me clear that doubt as well.
If you buy whey protein of a good brand, then that costs around Rs. 70-80 per serving
And if you consume the same protein requirement with homemade protein powder,
Then that costs approximately Rs.85-90.
So it's very clear that homemade protein powder is not cheaper.
Just keep in mind that whenever you buy whey protein, it should be from a good brand and reliable source.
And here I also want to convey this message to all the females that
Whey protein is not harmful and it also don't build muscle
In fact, whey protein benefits you in your fitness goals then whatever it is
Weight loss, weight gain or general fitness.
So this was today's post and i hope you liked it.
Keep supporting, keep reading and keep loving.
I'll be back with next post very soon and as I always saw,
Follow your passion, follow your dreams and stay fit.
